What a surprise! I was in Coral Springs and when I finished my project I looked up places to eat and up pop Mima's. It's a small out of the way Cuban themed restaurant on the side of a Ross shopping center. But the service and attention were great. And the food was great. We had the Picadillo with beans rice and yuca and I had the Croquetta appetizer. All was fresh,tasted good and the cafecito rounded it out! When you leave Miami and you want Cuban food and you're in the Coral Springs area stop here you'll leave satisfied.
This is the one place in south Florida that guy fieri needs to visit! This is the BEST Cuban cafe is south Florida!! I have been here multiple times, and it never fails. Empanadas are top tier. The perfect crisp, great meat flavor, and a yummy green sauce to spread on top. The chicken bowl is yummy it's basically a huge salad in a crispy tortilla. The tortilla is fluffy and crunchy at the same time it's amazing. The lecon asado is a must if you eat pork. All there meats are seasoned to perfection. There cafe con leche's are also amazing I usually get one when I stop by. I didn't feature the breakfast here but I have been for breakfast and it's authentic Cuban breakfast! I can come here anytime in the day it's that good! The staff is always friendly, and the place is small but very cute and cozy! Guy Fieri, yelp set something up for diners drive ins and dine!
They just updated their hours, bummer. Closed at 5pm Tuesday-Thursday and Friday and Sat 7pm This has always been my cheat spot for dinner nights during the week so the new hours is no bueno. Love this little spot! Vaca frita is delicious and I need some now lol. Cuban spot that has red beans! They do run out of food by end of day , so plan ahead. Also, they are closed on Mondays and Sunday
